Life isn't all about the businesses we create; it is about the creatures we become as we experience other rich moments in our life. You will see a different side of me here - the sentimental me that cherishes the small things in life! Somethings come our way that should be kept, cherished and given away or shared... Those things which touch my heart will be found here. Enjoy each one! I have no idea to whom to give the credit for most of these items- they have simply found their way to me in various communications throughout my life. Some of them are being retrieved from letters, clippings, and other momentos I have saved. If you find one that belongs to you or someone whom you are confident created it - please let me know so I may give appropriate credit to the creative source. A |

A Newborn's Conversation with God
January 28, 2010 Unknown Author
God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you and you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the small child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
"Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name." God said, "You will simply call her, Mom." |

October 19, 2008By: Unknown My mother kept a garden; a garden of the heart. She planted all the good things that gave my life a start. She turned me to the sunshine and encouraged me to dream. Fostering and nurturing the seeds of self-esteem. And when the rains cam, she protected me enough - but not too much For she knew I’d need to stand up strong and tough. Her constant good example always taught me right from wrong. Markers for my pathway that will last a lifetime long. I am HER mother’s garden; I am her legacy. And I hope today she feels the love reflected back to me. |

October 19, 2008By: Unknown "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, bnevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." "This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?" The old Cherokee replied simply, "The one you feed." |

January 26, 2010 Author Unknown
There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there.

August 20, 2009 When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit... Rest if you must - but don't you quit! Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won, if he'd stuck it out. Don't give up, though the pace seems slow, You may succeed... with one more blow. Often the goal is nearer than, It seems to a faint and faltering man; Often the struggler has given up, When he might have captured the victor's cup. And he learned too late, when the night slipped down, How close he was to the golden crown. Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close your are It may be near when it seems so far. So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things go wrong that you musn't quit!

October 19, 2008By: Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Who tells them the seasons? How do we, humans, know when it is time to move on? ... as with migrant birds, so surely with us, there is a voice within, if only we listen to it, that tells us so certainly when to go forth into the unknown. |

HeartprintsOctober 19, 2008By: Unknown On walls, on furniture, on doorknobs, dishes, books. There's no escape. As we touch, we leave our identity. Oh God! Wherever I go today, help me leave heart prints. Heartprints of compassion, of understanding and of love. Heartprints of kindness, and genuine concern. Or a run away daughter, or an anxious mother, or perhaps an aged grandfather. Lord, send me out today to leave heart prints. And if someone should say, "I felt your touch." May that one sense YOUR love touching through ME! |
